KUPPAN ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNS (Pty) LTD (KAD) was established in 2011, by Shervin Kuppan after he held senior and directorship posts for the past 15 years, at some of the leading architectural practices in Durban. KAD has a young, energetic and dynamic team that has a very strong work ethic. We have the ability to learn and adapt from an ever changing built environment KAD strives to constantly improve design quality and to ensure that concept designs can be effectively realised in creating places that are socially, environmentally, commercially and architecturally successful. Managing Director: Shervin has over fifteen years of experience in the construction sector. His insight and approach to projects are methodological and rigorous ensuring the delivery of flexible yet robust solutions that exceed client requirements. He brings a commitment to delivery and is positioned to grow the organisations knowledge base and manage all operational aspects of the business. Shervin constantly researches greening principles across the complete spectrum of the construction field and is aware that greening is not limited to the operation of the building only but includes the entire process of construction from manufacture of materials to site preparation and operation. He ensures that these principles and guidelines are not ignored during his on site supervisions.
Associate & Principal Architect: Yashaen Luckan is a registered professional architect (PrArch)with extensive experience on a range of architectural projects including educational, institutional, industrial, commercial , religious and residential work. His expertise and experience includes all 6 stages of architectural work including conceptual and detailed design to contract administration. His strength is in the coordination and integration of architectural design to the construction detailing and effective implementation of building works on site. Yashaen holds a Master of Architecture degree and is presently completing a PhD in Architecture which focuses on Education and Learning Space Development. He serves on committees of the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP).
